The funniest thing about this photo is the way the humble letter box is elevated to the status of some sort of demi-god, towering over the rendered insignificant and impotent Palais des Invalides, Napolean's resting place, like any other lollipop or useless lolling lamppost - it's up to us to record these moments..!

Sab, can you tell me exactly where that holocaust memorial is you showed on May 7 - tip of Ile de la Cite??? which tip??? Thanks

Yes! If you're on the Ile de la Cite, it's the 'tip' nearest Notre Dame. When you look at it, it seems like just another anonymous little patch of green, but you can go down some steps and then you're there. It's not spectacular or anything, but it is extremely moving and very well thought out. Let me know what you think!
