Red Bag Guy

For some reason I can't think of too much to say about this shot. Sometimes you just have to let the image speak and I think that's one of those times. I've talked about perspective and composition and loneliness so many times you must be sick of it by now! So this is the Red Bag Guy... and I took a picture of Him.

He seems weary. I don't blame him! Just getting from one metro line to the other at Chatelet is enough to make anybody weary.

This is a particularly well-known and not particularly well-loved long moving walkway between the Chatelet and Les Halles stations which you're forced to take sometimes if you don't get your interconnections sorted out properly! It was also famous for a scene in the Luc Besson film 'Subway' where a rollerskater swipes someone's bag as they are going in the opposite direction. Besson later went on to do one of my top ten all time great films, Leon, horribly re-titled 'The Hit Man' or something moronic in America. Thank you, and welcome back!
